I am policy holder no. 212204584 (jeevan suraksha). I wanted to access to my account details through the LIC's website www.licindia.com but could not do so as the same is perhaps not updated or not in working order. I had taken the above policy and was given to undertand that on retirement, I shall get a fixed sum plus an equated amount each month as pension. to my utter surprise, I find that LIC has issued me cheques of Rs. 1162 per month as monthly payment.
I want to ascertain why the fixed amount due at the time of maturity was not paid to me. I want complete details of my account and the circumstances under which LIC has backed out from its committment. I am always doubting the credentials of LIC as it has duped me in many other cases.
The cheques are for Kanpur instead of for Lucknow. Will these not involve clearing charges of outstation cheques? I have made every payment at lucknow, so the cheques should have been for Lucknow banks? May be the banks charge clering charges?
