On my prepaid card # 98****2088 they have activated caller tunes (Or ring tones .. basically the music caller hears when they call me) without our consent! And now to deactivate we have to send a SMS costing Rs. 3.00 plus they have charged me for the service I did not ask for!! The customer care person said that we may have activated the service by mistake!! On asking how I can activate by mistake he says when I receive a call and press ANY button the service gets activated! We are not aware of this!!! When we told him that this is NOT FAIR AND ITS CHEATING that a PAID service should get activated so easily and WITHOUT proper consent and we have to PAY to Deactivate! We wish to speak to his supervisor .. he asked us to hold and then disconnected the phone!!! This is CHEATING AND A MONEY MAKING RACKET where the user has no idea that he has activated such a service WITHOUT his knowledge and then he has to even PAY for it and PAY to deactivate the same!!! As its prepaid the money gets deducted on its own so we are not even aware!!! LOOP (BPL) must REFUND ALL THE EXCESS AMOUNT CHARGED AND STOP THIS IMMEDIATELY!!! WILL TAKE THIS MATTER TO CONSUMER COURT IF NEED BE!!!
