i bought a new baleno vxi from Popular Vehicles, mamangalam Cochin, in 2006.After running 11, 210 kms i got my gear box unit broke down. The car was covered with warrant. I got it changed through warranty. Now the car has done 40, 000 kms. On our way from Cochin to Alleppy (Kerala) my car faced a problem of fifth gear slipping. I immediately took the car to the authorized dealer, Hercules Automobiles INTL (P) LTD, Alleppy (authorized Maruti dealer), on 3/9/08.I also got the job card copy with me. I just asked them to check the vehicle and let me know. Without informing me they dismandled the gear box unit and said that i have to change the whole unit, an gave me a estimate of Rs.50, 000.Nows its going to be one and a half months. I am not able to use my car. Your dealer started harassing me mentally. NO positive response from authority has come to me. I hope you will come out with a positive reply. Otherwise i will be forced to take this matter to the court of law. I have even taken the extended warranty (warranty contract no : 06536950, Booklet no: C554083, Warranty valid up to 26/5/09) Chasis no : 124302, Engine no : 518399.I here by state that, Hercules Maruti does'nt know how to behave or to deal with a customer, which will bring a bad reputation to Maruti. MR.Rajesh Chacko, service manager of Hercules Automobiles arrogantly spoke to me and said do what you can. If you want to get your car repaired, pay Rs.50, 000 here and clear off. So i am requesting you to take disciplinary action. Waiting for your reply.
