My friend has booked Swift Dzire in April with Indus Motors, Trivandrum. They have made him to believe that he will get the vehicle within 2 weeks and got Rs 3.5 lakhs as advance from him. Now they tell different excuses and is not even answers his calls. He works in Colombo and is suffering from this agents behaviour. His mother was in hospital, and the vehicle was for his parents use. Now neither the agent nor Maruti responds to his mails or queries. Now Maruti has increased the price by Rs 18, 000/-. Is he supposed to pay that. Second can he claim interest for the deposit he has given (now more than 1.5 months).
Now there is a rumour that Maruti has closed their plant and Swift production will start only next month. Infact that is the reason Maruti is not replying to aggreived customers. Even there are rumours that the swift Dzires design has some problems and that is why they stopped production. Which is true and how to know the truth when company is taking customers for a ride
