Not working dvd drive

Hi, si... I brought new dvd drive of mosterbear.. But when am going to assemble in my pc.. The dvd drive not responding anythin... also get one cd with this dvd drive wat the use of that cd..? Need install any softwear from that cd..? Please give me a good solution...
