As we all think and perceive that ACC Cements is a strong brand with highly ethical organisation. So lets see a beautiful ethical scene of ACC of its recruitment process which was advertised on Times Ascent for its opening.
The Company head quartered in Mumbai and shows a beautiful dream to lot of job aspirers of Bangalore on 19th may. The Opening was Marketing and Logistics organised by some top officials of ACC Cements. The HR manager also was present named Ms. Anagha Jawker as well the VP of HR. The experienced required for this position was 3 years and above. As a ACC aspirer like many others I cleared the written as well two more tests organised by ACC in Hotel Royal Orchid, Shivaji Nagar, Bangalore. Lots of aspirants have lots of hopes and trying desperately to clear and some got rejected for some or other reasons. Many has neglected their family and other work to attend this schedule by ACC.
After completion of all the Tests, Now result announcement time. Lots got failed and some got selected. The VP himselg took my Interview asking some questions like difference between Mareket Intelligence and Business Intelligence and Who is a competitor and similarly some others.
I guess satisfied thats why asked me to fill up a form and when I asked why this form needs to be filled as the response I got is "YOU ARE SELECTED MR> KETAN" "CONGRATS AND WE WILL SEND YOU SHORTLY THE OFFER LETTER"... I felt great and similarly some others like me too... The recruitment team went back to mumbai..10 days gone... 15 days gone... 30 days gone... when I called up they replied whats your name and when is the interview scheduled... I replied them with exact figures... They responded Yeah... We got your name in the selected database... We will inform you shortly... since there is no vacancy in south zone so cant give the offer letter... 45 days gone... same response... 60 days same response... I felt very bad as all my faith gone from ACC which was a strong brand... I surprised the big brand VP has such type of commitments... where the organisation will move ahead or backside... I am still in confusion is the employees are safe in this type of organisation where the VP's committment is so weak...
Sorry for Indian Companies... Thats why India cant shine and thats the reason talents are looking for foreign brands rather than Indian... I guess they are doing the right thing and now I am in a Taiwan based Company and responsible for International Marketing... thanks to my luck that I didnt get in ACC or else I would have lost my carreer in such type committments by the VP HR...
