This is a complaint towards MCD cleanliness department. We have a shop in BA-35 Mangolpuri Industrial Area, phase-II. There is a absolutely broken road in front of us and just across the road, there is a huge pile of garbage. This garbage is being thrown almost daily by neighbouring factories. But we cant blame even them, because there is not a single dustbin in the entire industrial area.
The sweepers of our area are the most corrupted lot. They ask for money to clean the roads. If we dont give them money, they create a heap of garbage in front of our entrance. We have no option but to succumb to their pressure. A day before i asked them to clean the garbage accross the road, and that sweeper asked for Rs.500 for cleaning up the mess. I was shocked to see the shamelessness of these guys. They are asking for money for a work they are supposed to do everyday. In a way, they are shameless criminals who want to extort money in exchange of peace and hygiene.
If any one of you can forward this incident to a official concerned, or guide me on how to handle this situation, i will be highly obliged.
