Non Return of Deposit Amount

Sir/ Madam,

I am a Resident of Hyderabad (A.P.) using BSNL internet services for the past 2 years. In the month of May i Recd. a Call from "MYWAY", who are offering Interactive TV service on behalf of BSNL, stating that i am one of the few selected customers who have offered the myway interactive TV services on trial basis for a mere payment of Rs.1500/- has caution deposit.

I asked my son Siddharth Sisodia to enquire about the same and do the needful as required. He asked the concerned personnel from MYWAY to come to residence and check for compatibility of the services with existing equipment and install the same.

They verified my Computer setup and the modem to check whether it is compatible with their services and said yes i could go for the services. I gave the personnel a post dated cheque as i was apprehensive about the services provided by them.

Within a week's span i started facing problem with their services as the signals which i recd. on my television were not good and my television screen used to freeze within a minute or so. this continued for say 15 days after which i asked them to disconnect the services and return my deposit amount.

Almost for a month i had talk with various people on phone in hyderabad where they assured me that your services will be back to normal but nothing substantiated. This continued till the month of July after which i searched for the company on the net and regd. a formal complaint with the concerned authorities via email as guided by them. i used to regularly email them and ask for the status of my case where they assured me that it will be dealt with within a weeks time and so on. one of the latest emails i recd. stated that by the end of September my deposit will be refunded. i used to regularly tell them that they are taking my case for granted and that if they do not comply with my complaint then i will go to consumer forum and also publish my complaint in DECCAN CHRONICLE after that i have not recd. any email from their side.

I am fed up with their antics where in lot of my time and my money has been wasted talking to them politely and decently, REQUESTING THEM TO RETURN MY DEPOSIT AMOUNT but they are not at all listening to me and returning my amount.

they even stated that Rs.1500/- is a refundable amount which you can take back in case you are not satisfied with the services provided by the company.

Hence i request the authorities to look into my matter and help me as early as possible.
