I went to the cyber café on 27.3.12 for internet usage. My work was completed in 45 minutes. the usual charges here in shillong are Rs. 20/hr. Though my work could have been done in an earlier time but due to slow connectivity it took me 45 minutes which should be charged at Rs 15 as is the normal trend.
I also got a print out which is charged at Rs 10 per page. Since the server was down I had to shift to another machine where I worked for hardly 20 minutes after having sat in the 1st machine for 10 minutes at first. In this process the person at the cyber took more time to save and take a print out of the required copy. At the end of which he failed to give a proper print of the page.
After all this when I finally wind up and went to make the payment he calculated my bill as Rs. 50 and argued that I had used 2 (two) machine for over 35 minutes each and that is charged at a full rate of Rs. 20/hr and he is not bothered about how the rest of the cafes here charge. he also charged an extra Rs. 10 for the improper print which was entirely his fault.
He started abusing me and used slangs and called me names in front of other customers present there. I could not argue back as he was adamant and refused to refund the money after keeping what was actually due. He also said I could do anything I wanted and he didn’t cared. Also he jotted down a balance of Rs. 10 on his register making a total of Rs. 60 which was for 2 (two) pages of print according to him
So, I request you to take so possible action on the matter stated above as soon as possible.
