Recently we had gone to Nirulas Potpourri in Sec-2 Noida. We decided to go for buffet instead of the a la carte menu. They had soup, salads, rice, dal, fried gobi, paneer makhani, palak mushroom and veg-kofta in there buffet. We filled our plates with these dishes and once we tasted the kofta…what we find is that it is non-veg instead of veg. We were shocked to see the how a company like Nirulas who has been in the food business for more than 2 decades is serving non-veg to its veg customers. To top it all its management was not at all ready to agree that its non-veg. finally when we said we want it in writing that this is veg they agreed and said it is our mistake and we served you non-veg.
My worry here is I don’t know since how long I have been eating non-veg thinking it is veg in nirulas and what abt the people who are pure veg by religion have also eaten non-veg just because some cook in Nirulas decided to make veg koftas from chicken.
