I purchased Nokia 5610 phone on 1st jan recently the flash of its camera stopped working so I deposited it at Nokia Care Centre Sodala, Jaipur, Rajasthan on 18 August. My phone had some physical damage althoug it had nothing to do with camera. The people there said that phone has to be sent to Delhi for repair and it will be under warranty and if I get physical damage repaired then it will cost Rs 900 extra to which I agreed and they said the phone will be back in 20 days. After 25 days when I went to take the phone back they said that the phone has returned as it as without repaired because people at Delhi think that whole repair should be charged and total charges should be Rs 2300 and now they will send the phone back to Delhi for another 20 days. This sounds as if we are living in stone age and people at Delhi cannot contact the people at jaipur centre through phone to contact me for agreeing for Rs 2300 (to which I would obviously agree). The phone has come back after 20 days without any action and they want another 20 days. This is ridiculous. why didnt they did this procedure on phone and why was I earlier told by people of Jaipur centere that camera repair will come under warranty. Altough I dont mind paying the present sum of Rs 2300 as I have no other choice but I strongly objected to another 20 days theory to which the people at Jaipur centre behaved rudely and said they cannot do anything as this is the "system" at Nokia. I am shocked to see the level of customer service at India's most trusted brand and such a big MNC. I will be contacting local consumer forum office soon.
