Irresponsible service

I did a great mistake!! I thought that Nokia is a reputed company since they are selling thousands of phones. I also went and purchased a nokia cell phone GSM 6110 so called &-- Navigator phone in June. I could enjoy the advantage of the "great" technology only for one month, one fine morning the microphone said good bye to me. So far it is fine. The real story starts now.

I went to the nearby Nokia Care (really they care you that you never go back and buy another Nokia product in your life time) in New Tippasandra, Bangalore and gave my phone for repair. They alloted job sheet number (529434038/080826/42) and send the phone to their repair centre in Chennai. I waited patiently. After two weeks I called the Nokia care and... my phone was ready. I didn't have any issue that they hadn't called and informed me!

Before collecting the phone I verified it and surprisingly found that the Nokia repair experts are very good nursery artists that they drew lot of white thick lines on the display screen. I have definitely a serious issue here. This is my phone, new phone, I paid for it and I need the phone back in good condition. The Nokia employees requested me to accept the phone in that condition and told me to contact the manager if I have any further complaint. I didnt accept the phone and told them to correct the new problem and call me when it is ready.

I waited for one more week and again, as usual, called them to know the status. An irresponsible guy attended the call and told that my phone is ready. I mentioned him that there was a new problem on this phone and check that it is rectified. He informed me that everything got rectified and I can go and collect. I travelled 20 kms in horrible evening Bangalore traffic and... saw my phone in the same old condition. What can I do... or tell me what can you do? I came back without accepting the phone.

From that day I started following up every alternate days. This has become a routine now for last 5 weeks. It is very difficult to get these idiots on line, most of the time they keep the phone out from holder. I spoke to almost everybody in that office during this period, and ofcourse three times to their manager too. The manager never attends the call. If you get luckily him on line then he will immediateld ask to send a message giving the job sheet details and never responds back. They are keeping on saying that I am going to get a new hand set... but when? they are not sure... evry time the answer is next week. Tomorrow I am celebrating the silver jubilee (50th day) of my hand set with them.

...and now it is enough and more than enough... it is time to act seriously... and I can't wait longer... let me see the law in this country can help a desperate consumer or not.
