Sub: 4 days phone got defective and not covered warranty.
i have purchase nokia 6233 (IEMI NO. 352915021160281) handset on 23/02 from priority, sakchi, jamshedpur, India. Just after 4 days i faced a problem with the phone that its memory card get out from its slot automatically and did not get locked again. In the meanwhile I visit to Burdwan. While i visit to nokia care, Burdwan, they said that the job (job sheet no. 314343506/080305/31) will not be done there and need to be sent to kokata. As i am in hurry, i did not give the phone.
while returning to jamshedpur, i visit to jamshedpur nokia care. They also said the same thing that the set need to be sent to kolkata and no warranty to be given for the job as there is physical damage in memory card holder and a minimum of Rs 1200 will be charged for the job.
The phone’s lever was so weak from beginning that it got defective by its own. Nokia care, jamshedpur told that, I have to pay both material cost and labour charge for the job (around Rs 1200).
Now my question is why I have to pay for this? Why no warranty is given for a defective set which is just 4 days old.
If this is the situation of Nokia, customer will loose faith on the company.
