Dear Sir:
My son - Capt. Rahul Gupta purchased a mobile phone Model No. 3230 on 22th February from New Chauhan Electronics vide Receipt No. 7703, 109/99 Nehru Nagar, Kanpur - 208012. The phone was having a MENU NOT OPEN PROBLEM LIQUID DAMMAGE as per the job sheet Number 034343506/071213/81 of December 13 of NOKIA Care, APEX, UGA 12 SOM DUTT PLAZA KANPUR. The status shows that the phone is unserviceable. After contacting them previously they told me that phone set will be sent to Lucknow for further repair and they asked Rs. 500/- for getting further repairing after paying Rs. 110 handling charges to them vide receipe No.15569 dated 13.12.2007. When the set was purchased no where it was told us that please save the set from rain otherwise guarrenty/warrenty will be terminated at once. And if it is true then a set belongs to NOKIA then what is the problem with the company in repairing it. One thing is hurting to a customer when the set was given to NOKIA Care at Kanpur it was working and receiving the message etc only there was problem on the screen due to rain drops went inside the screen. Now it is totaly dead. In such conditions it seems that the set is further damaged by technicians handling the set at different places either in Kanpur or Lucknow. Therefore it would be highly appreciated if you please look into the matter seriously and kindly informe me accordingly at the earliest. The mobile is still with your office at Kanpur and the process too for getting it in working condition. Please I have contacted to MS. GEETA regarding the same on phone no.080-30303838.
