Pathetic service at nokia customer care centre and replacement of handset

Dear sir,

This is to bring to you notice the pathetic service extended at your Nokia care centre at Andheri West (mumbai). I visited the Nokia customer care centre for replacement of N-76 handset due to chipping of chrome plating. As the warranty on the phone is within one year, the handset and bill was provided to the dealer. The dealer very rudely stated that the replacement warranty existed only for 6 months. As prior inquiries were made at the nokia toll free number w.r.t. duration of warranty, which was confirmed to be 1 year by Vinod from customer service the dealer insisted that the warranty existed for only 6 months.

On requesting the dealer to allow me to make a call to customer service from his centre, he very curtl y refused and stated that the call centre provides wrong information to the customers. On asking for a written communication from Nokia for duration of replacement warranty the dealer (Mr Ilyas) stated that he does not have it and will not make any effort to provide the same.

In addition I was directed to the lower parel office of Nokia without any resolution.

I have been a Nokia user since the past 10 year and after this experience I have been forced to change loyalties.

Request you to look into the matter and an early resolution to this issue.
