Sub: Issue of Passport to: LALU MATHEW.
Respected Sir,
With a broken Heart I am writing this letter to you that you may have compassion to a citizen of Kerala. My Name is Lalu Mathew. I was having an Indian Passport since 1978 Issued from Kerala. With that Passport I traveled and worked in Saudi Arabia during 1983 to 1985. After that I never travelled out of India. In 1988 I renewed the Passport and the same was valid till 1998. But unfortunately in 1992 I was traveling from Bombay to Delhi by Train, in an early morning my suitcase was stolened and the passport was in it. I filed an FIR with Delhi Railway Police and after few years I applied for a new passport in 1998 from Bombay where I was residing. While applying for the passport I submitted the FIR copy original alongwith with the application. But, when received the passport from Bombay, the Old passport details was not endorsed in it. While approaching them they said it is not necessary as my old passport was expired 1998 eventhough it is lost and I satisfied with their word.
Now In 2008 again my passport was expired and I applied for a new one at the Passport office Cochin and explained all the stories as they traced my Old passport of 1978 details from the computer. I have personally explained the realities to the concerned officer and she said I will get the new passport within 30-40 days. After Police verification now it is Nine Months Passed and I never got my Passport. In between the RPO wrote 3 times to me to submit the Old Trivandrum Issued Passport which I do not have. But the Bombay Issued passport which expired is already submitted alongwith the new application form at Cochin. I have replied in details to him and made three more visit to the passport office, But the Staff at the counter is not at all allowing to see any concerned officers. Sir I am fed up with the communication and visit to our Cochin Passport office. On the other hand during my last visit one of the staff advised me to pay money to the Agent outside the office to get the passport immediately.
Now I am a Christian Evangelist since 1987 and devoted my life for the Ministry, and I never travelled anywhere outside India. Sir, could you please look into the matter enable me to get my passport from the hands of this Passport office authorities in Cochin who are not at all kind enough to the Public and understand their real situations.
