Dear Sir/Madam,
I have been a regular online IRCTC user since December. IRCTC was quite responsive initally and even acknowledged by mail (on January 6) that Rs 1052.61 had been wrongly debited from my ICICI Bank VISA Card a/c. Indeed, the amount did get credited back on Jan 6- but, alongside, another debit of Rs 1052.61 was made, which put the net of Rs1052.61.
After repeated mails (since Jan 10), today's (Jan 19) card statement shows a fresh debit of Rs 1052.61 added (in the last 2 days), with transaction date as Jan 6. I think, to give IRCTC the benefit of doubt, that they possibly had tried to take a redressal measure (all that was required was a new Credit of Rs 1052.61) but instead they have ended up doing a fresh DEBIT of Rs 1052.61, thus putting the total amount of wrong debit to my Card a/c (as of jan 19) = 2 * Rs 1052.61
No transactions had been made by Myself on Jan 6, 2 (two) transactions were tried at IRCTC (online) on Jan 4, out of which one went through (& tickets were booked) and one transaction did not result in booked tickets (and was acknowledged as a failed transaction with wrong debit from my Card a/c)
