Delay in passport delivery

hi,

its almost a couple of months that i had been applied for my new passport and still the status bar shows that my police varification report is still not received. is there no steps to keep check on this respected cops who are supposed do this assigned job and no time limit for the same? When the office had declred that new applicants would receive passport in a period of 21 days its really rediculous.

Kindly look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest.
