My Philips FWD39/21M DVD player was not powering up, so I took it to the authorized Philips service centre in Thiruvananthapuram, M/s. Vijay Electronics. I gave the player on 7 May and was told that they could look into the same only the next week. Since I did not receive any response from them, I called them repeatedly, but always received the same reply that "a technician will look into this and call you back". Nothing happened till 04 June so I called their support Manager. He also promised to call back "within 10 minutes", but that is yet to happen! I called him again on 6 June and he unabashedly told that he would "get back to me". Such poor service reflects very badly on a brand name as big as Philips, and is not expected also.
