Wrong technical specifications

I have bought Philips 42PFL9703/98 in October. When I am comparing specifications of TV in the manual came with TV, they are not matching. What Should I do? Specifications not matching are

1) Computer formats as per manual &--gt; 1980*1020, actually when I connect PC with TV on VGA port it does not go above 1024*768

2) Network/ethernet Port is mentioned in Manual, it is not available in TV.

When I complained company their service center, service head of Gujarat had visited my home and as per him we need to connect TV to computer on HDMI port and not VGA port. Specifications of HDMI and Computer formats are given separately even though he insisted that I should change connectivity. In manual no where it is mentioned that in VGA connectivity there will be limited resolutions and for better resolution connectivity needs to be changed.

I had contacted Philips customer care and they confirmed me that I should get 1980*1020 resolution on VGA connectivity. For the resolution of the problem they asked me to contact service head of the region. When I had updated them about my experience with their service head they asked sometime from me and spoken to service head. After that talk customer care has also started telling that TV will work with 1024*768 only.

I had asked philips about this on their website through mail, but no reply till now.

I had requested to give me in writing about their comments, till now no mail regarding the same.

Please advise what should be done?
