My wife had a RD account with Post Office, Katemanevali, Kalyan East, Maharashtra in the year January. On 31.12.2007 we met with a road accident near Rohinjan, Taloja, Panvel, Mumbai and she passed away. Being husband and legal heir i have submitted he necessary documents like, death certificate, FIR, Post Mortem report etc., on 22.02.2008 with the Post Master, Katemanevali, Kalyan and made an application for withdrawal of the said RD Account. Till the date i.e., 28.08. neither i received any feedback nor received the money which is lying with the Post Office Department. I makes visits every month to enquire about the status. As usual they ifnorms that enquiry is going and going. It will be appreciable if anybody can help me about the authority to whom i can approach to withdraw the said Post Office RD account.
