Nowadays we see many academies like Frankfinn, AHA and of course livewel who fleece students and their parents of huge amounts with the promise of lucrative jobs in the prominent airlines. The fees range anything from Rs. 90000 to Rs. 1.80 lacs. The hapless parents take huge loans but most of them end up not getting any employment.
Worst still is Frankfinn does not say a word on the physical appearance of a candidate for training. Once money is paid, their staffers give some excuse or the other for not providing employment. Moreover, most of these academies charges are unreasonable. The course itself is not worth more than 4 months. One can imagine that if the employers seek only std. XII then we can guess the caliber of the students who enlist. The excuse given is that the students will earn a minimu of Rs. 30000/- per month after completing the course.
This amounts to cheating.
I am part of a group which runs an aviation academy and on going through the course, I found that the fees does not merit the course. A reasonable fee would be between Rs. 15000 to Rs. 25000 for 4 months. I have taken it upon myself to provide such training to students from the lower strata of society and I found that these children are sharper and far more intelligent than their English medium counterparts.
Someone must pick up the cudgels.
