One Mr.maalikarjun, sr.officer, sales from Bharti airtel services ltd., madiwala, bangalore advertised and approached me that in my are airtel is providing broadband connection. He assured that broad band connection will be provided within 10days. On his assurance i have applied for broadband connection (Appl.no. BA 223401) on 4th march along with cheque fro Rs.1000/= and other necessary documents. When enquired after one week he started some excuses for not giving the connection as promised. On verification it was found that the cheque has bbe already produced to the bank and cleared on 6th march itself. When i want enqquire why still the connection has not been provided, he started avoiding the calls. Today, when cotacted the Bharti airtel office at Koramangala, bangalore (phone:080-41112345), I was shocked to learn that my application was rejected on technical ground that it is not feasable in our area. If so why did the sr. officer sales lied? Why my cheque was presented and encashed within 2 days of my submitting the application? It appears that the firm is cheating the people like this and collecting the money. Further, it seems that a refund order will be sent afetr 2 weekssince I contacted them. Is ther no way to punish this type of fraud?
