I shifted my residence on the 1st of June and promptly called up Airtel Broadband services to request my connection (phone no. 0124-4293597) to be shifted to my new residence. Both I and my wife are working, and hence, unavailable during office hours on weekdays. For a brief period of time, particularly the first and the second week of registering my request, I regularly received calls from the designated technicians asking me to provide him with a time when they could come and fix up my telephone and broadband connection. I fixed up a time for 4 consecutive weekends with the technicians. The technicians, however, failed to turn up on any of the scheduled dates and times and reported that the request has been fulfilled.

These two technicians regularly called me up for a month fixing up some time and they would never turn up. They would then call me up the next day to inform me that the landline and broadband connections were fixed. After this happened a few times, I received a bill for the period when my phone and broadband connection were not in use.
The problem has still not been resolved and I am still waiting for Airtel to take action against my request.
I would really appreciate if someone could take up the matter with Airtel and take note of the unprofessional behavior of their technicians. I would also really appreciate if strict action is taken against the technicians, Yogesh and Tarachand.
