I lost (theft case) my mobile with Airtel SIM. I registered a complaint in local police station and through Airtel Customer care (Opp Jaydeva Hosp, Bangalore) got the SIM re issued with assurance of previous SIM will be jammed. When I put this re issued SIM to my new set, it was not getting registered and to my surprise, the thief is still using my handset with same SIM and dare enough to give me miss callas!!! Airtel has filed to jam the SIM even after 07 days!!! My question is if the same SIM is being used for illeagal purpose, who will be held responsible? Me OR Police OR Airtel?
