I had a Data Card from Airtel and presently disconnected. When I applied for this card, I was asked to submit one month advance rental of Rs. 999.00. The same was given to their authorised outlet.

The cheque was cleared by my bank and the fund was deducted for which i have a statement of Bank.

Every month then on the bill would reflect that Rs. 999.00 is pending and not paid.

After few months of regular visits to their outlet, I could not get the matter resolved. They used to regularly give me numbers.

I got fed up and requested for discontinuing the service which was done on17th June.

I had paid all balance amount on date as per Ms. Namrata of Neptune Infocomm { Airtel Outlet}. I was also told that no outstanding to be paid.

Surprisingly on 08th October, I recieved a notice from an advocate at Pune that they would proceed legally if a balance amount of Rs. 1897.30 is not paid within 7 days.

Again I visited their outlet and spoke to Ms. Namrata on 10th October. The advance cheque issue is yet to settle and additional bill has been made for the period afer discontinuation of service.

They have again given me request nos. saying that the matter will be taken care of and no payment is to be made by me.

I'm confused whether I should proceed legally for stopping this harrassment from Airtel.

Can any one suggest a better option.

I would request all other customers to be careful with Airtel.
