I had recently recieved a message from company (airtel) that i can activate the hello tunes for free for 1 month on toll free number 543211888 from the date of activation. I had confirmed with the airtel customer care (121) that if such any service was rendered by them and whether this was a free service and recieved positive reply. I subscribed that same service through the given 543211888 toll free number from the sms recieved and activated a hello tune.
later on when the call ended it showed that call charges were deducted from my account which was undesirable.
Again I asked the airtel customer care and got a reply that the following wrongly charged rupees will be refunded back to me within 48 hrs from the time of complaint. Still a week has been past and I haven't recieved a penny into my account (airtel).
Why are we charged for a free call and free service?
I want an explanation regarding the same.
May be I would create a wrong image about the service that airtel provides in many of minds wherever I go.
