I am a Airtel Corporate post paid customer. A couple of months back I received a call from Airtel on an additional Rs45 rental to my plan which would enable to make ISD calls at Rs. 2.99 per minute. I took the plan. To my surprise I was overcharged on the first bill i received from airtel. Airtel had overbilled me by Rs. 800. I went to the customer care and got it sorted out for that month. The next month i faced the same problem and this time i was overchaged by Rs. 600. On going back to the customer care they informed me that i had cancelled the additional Rs. 45 rental plan in the middle of the month. I was shocked by this as i had never raised a request to cancel my plan. Why would i cancel a plan which has been beneficial to me, i dont think i am that stupid to do that. The customer care representative told me that he would be raising the request to reactivate the previous plan and give me the waiver on the over billied amount. After 5 days i still kept getting the repeated calls from airtel that i had not paid the full bill for the previous month and i need to pay the amount to get continued service from airtel. I again called the customer service. only to get a different answer from airtel this time. The waiver was not approved and they even went on to say that the additional Rs. 45 rental scheme does not exist. How can a scheme be discontinued without even informing the customer about it. I think airtel has just been cheating its customers all this while. This has been a very bad experience with Airtel and i am surely going to raise this issue. They simple cannot cheat there customers like this.
