Harrasment for new cheques

I had deposited a cheque no 105947 drawn on corporation bank dated 26-08

at airtel collection centre in nerul Sector 21 Navi Mumbai for the amount Rs 1534 towards the august payment.

This cheque had never been deposited in the bank and I am being harassed by your call centre to issue another cheque or pay cash claiming the date is invalid without even depositing this cheque.

I have enquired with the bank and they claim no cheque of mine has ever been returned

my cheque for any irregularities in date.

How do I ascertain wheather the cheque is getting misplaced and invalid date is an excuse to extract

cash payment as airtel has refused to return my earlier cheque which they claim has ab invalid date.

I am worried that this is a second occurrence and in spite of my written complaint in the earlier incident on 23’rd June no action was taken and why should any one not misuse the earlier cheques as your office has refused to return my original cheques supposed to have invalid dates.

It is prominent and very obvious that my cheques on both the occasions cannot have invalid date and on close examination you might notice that as I have demanded the original cheques they might be qveritten with new ink to look invalid to justify sirtels stand.

I have requested airtel on both the ocassion to trace the person or outsourcing centre who have no proper collection mechanism and in tiurn force the customer to pay in cash or threaten with disconnection if cash is not paid..

After repeated appeals and requests on email there is no ersponse from airtel and i had gone all rthe way to vashi Gallery to deliver a handwritten complaint on 19-09-09 but the employee Mr Anup Penkuntla/Denkuntla had refused to accept any letters as a policy decision but he has also refused to give in writing that not accepting letters is a policy decision of airtel.

To date I have not received the original cheque which they claim is invalid and I have settled the amount in cash as I am left with no option to confront this rudeness and arrogance.

please guide me for the course of action as any positive response from airtel in this matter is out of

question.

A small request to initiate action against employees for claiming my xheque is invalid or return

my original cheque has always fallen on deaf ears and this is the same corporate whi claim their services ro be international standard.
