Airtel Post Paid connection ( Mobile number-9867499370)
Wrong annotation of Name

My name has been endorsed by Airtel as Ramesh P Gopinathan without my consent instead of Ramesh Gopinathan as given by me. I used to get the bill in the name of Ramesh P Gopinathan and the same is in the login page of mine in the official Airtel website. Inspite of repeated calls, I didnot get any response. Finally I lodged a complaint on 22 Aug with the Airtel customer Care executive (Complaint Number 28182393 dated 22 Aug). I didnot get any response neither for this complaint on its own.

In the mean time, I insisted on paying the monthly bill only on rectifying the wrong name mentioned and send the corrected bill and make the necessary correction in the bill guide in the official website. Both the issues were ignored by the Organisation in question.

When I called up my self, one of the customer care executive responded me saying that the complaint was resolved. Isn't it ridiculous that the issues put up by me are still continuing with neither the website information of mine is corrected nor the bill with the correct name was sent and they still claim that the complaint is resolved.

A few days before my all outgoing calls were blocked and effective today, all the incoming calls have also been blocked. The message received by the diallers is the number dialled is not a valid one. How Airtel is deciding on the validity of the number as not a valid one once the complaint is still pending to be resolved and self as a user has been using the service for a quite a reasonable time. The only change I could notice in the latest bill (tansaction as on 30 Sep 2009) is the change as Ramesh Gopinathan P which is still not the correct one.

I have given the assurance of paying the outstanding bill (without the fine levied for delay in payment) the moment my issues put up to them are resolved in writing. It is requested to take up the matter and get the justice done.

Thanks and awaiting an early action.

Ramesh Gopinathan
