I had taken Airtel post paid connection with the offer by virtue of which the STD calls were to charge 1 Rs/min. The billing and all were fine till I kept the phone in safe custody for duration of 6 months. The first trouble I faced was when I asked to end the custody and activate the number. I was paid the number is no more available, even when I had paid the custody amount well in advance. After a lot of struggle and email to 121 email id and ccare email id (this id is supposed to be chairman's email id), the phone got activated after around 15 days from the first request.

But they just activated the number, the rest of the bill plan was not activated. Since then I'm getting charged 1.5 Rs/Min. I submitted the complaint to them 1.5 months back and asked for the correction. Even after the complaint the corrections are not made and they have sent me 2 bills which the same mistake. Besides they sent one of the bill on the evening of the due date for the bill, that too when I called them up stating that my usual phone bill due date is today and I have not yet received the bill. On phone I was told that the bill will arrive by the evening. And since its fault of Airtel, the due date will be extended. But when I receive the bill nothing of this sort was done. I had paid the first erroneous bill without checking the details. From the second bill onwards, in my communication to Airtel I had mentioned that I will not be paying the bills unless they send me corrected bills and deposit back the extra amount I paid on the first bill.

I have communicated to them over the email and phone n number of time but all in vain. I also emailed nodal officer email id and tried calling the nodal officer (Karnataka) number. But the phone is never picked and the nodal officer never replied. This raises the basic doubt of existence of nodal office. There is no response from ccare email id also.

Instead of correcting the bills, Airtel did try to give me few discounts which don't even come to 1/2 of the extra amount that Airtel has been charging me. No corrections to the bills are made after explicitly mentioning that I don’t wish to get any discounts and no payments will be done unless corrections to the bills are made. To my surprise, instead of resolving the issue, Airtel blocked the outgoing call from my phone a week back and incoming call to the phone yesterday. There non-efficient staff calls me almost every alternate day from last 1.5 months asking for payment or reason why I wish to terminate the service even when I didn’t ask for termination instead of resolving the discrepancy in the bill and sending me the corrected bill. The whole this has caused and is still causing mental harassment for us.
