Sir,

I hold an airtel prepaid connection No. 9601139970 in Gujrat state. Airtel provides MO service for GPRS @ Rs.15/- per day.

I activated the MO service on 14 Nov 08 at 1400 hrs and got the usual messages for activation confirmation but I was not getting GP signal from airtel.

I complained in customer care (12140) at 1500 hrs -they asked to get MO settings checked, which I did and found correct at 1528 hrs. Once again they asked to shift to some other area and access the service, I complied with but unsuccessful.

Again I called at 1801 hrs and came to know that airtel GPRS service is down in this area and was assured that it will be made serviceable within 4 hours.

The services were not available even on 15 Nov 08 at 0730 hrs and I asked to refund the charges of Rs.30/- for 14 & 15 Nov 08, Mis Anu assured at 1214 hrs that services will be available with in 4 hrs or we will forward your request for refund of Rs. 30/-.

At 1500 hrs when services were not made available even after 48 hrs I pressurized to refund the charges for Mo services which I could not access for a single minute. Mr. Sandeep Sr. executive told me that there is no provision for refund of such activity and to deactivate the service else Rs.15/- per day will continue to be deducted. I deactivated the service.

Once again I activated the service on 17 Nov 08 and faced the same turmoil and deactivated at last unwillingly.

I am an old customer of Airtel and have been using MO service since long, but the response I got for my complaints was really unsatisfactory. Every time a new operator will come and skip the things for 4 hours.

I hope for your involvement in the matter and get my money refunded by providing such provisions for the period when services are not available from your end. I think it is ridiculous to charge for what you have not provided.

I would continue to use the service in future I hope you can understand it is not the matter of just Rs.45/. I would like to add that I was more than satisfied with MO service but why pay for what I could not get.
