I have been using Airtel Prepaid for over 4 years. There had been no problem in getting the balance recharge done from any distributor till Apr 08.
I have been receiving message from Airtel about the Lifetime Validity with Rs 50/- talktime on Easy Recharge of Rs 250/-. I asked the Easy Recharge Distributor in Nehru Place (G-5. Skyline 85. Nehru Place) for the above Lifetime Validity Recharge. Instead of Recharging for above scheme, he recharged for Rs 295/- with a Talktime of Rs. 10/- valid for 3 years. The reason provided by him was that recharge of Rs 250/- is not working now, which is wrong. Also while enquiring the balance the validity date is uptil Jan 15 i.e. not even full 3 years.
Airtel should take some harsh steps against such fraudster distributors because of whom it may loose its customers. Even while dialing the customer care numbers of Airtel doesn't helps as the phone just goes blank and cant connect to the customer care representative so that a bonafide customer can lodge a complaint against such fraudsters
