Not able to deactivate SIM card on the lost of mobile

My sister lost her mobile yesterday when i tried to deactivate the SIM card thru airtel customer care exective they denied to take my compliant and given me the suggestion to get it done from any nearest airtel dealer.

When i reached to nearest airtel dealer to deactivate they told me that they don't have any privelige to deactivate the sim card i need to complaint at there Begampet office head office only.

I am suprised & wondered that so called no 1 telecom service provider in india is not have such a basic service to deactivate the SIM card in case to lost or theft or in emergency.

As we all know how things are happening in india every other day terrorist attacks, bomb blast etc are happen over mobile phone, in such case if any customer is losing there mobile he/she will become easy pray to those unforseen incidents.

Since i request Airtel management to please look into this matter and simplfy the deactivation process in such cases of emergency.
