Passport not received after correction!

This is with reference to my file no *H00922707, * submitted on the *15th of

June, * after an error had mentioned my gender incorrectly as male.

I had previously submitted my passport (B 2435995) for a change of photograph and ECNR renewal. These changes were incorporated in the new

passport issued to me, but my gender had been listed as male instead of

female.

I had given the passport back for the correction on the 15th of June, but I

have not yet received it back. The online status always says "Police report not received" when in fact, there was no requirement for a police inquiry in the first place.

I have already made 8 visits to the office and sent 3 mails, but I have received no response apart from the usual "come later."

Please let me know smb if there is anyway I can find out the status of my passport, and expedite the whole process.
