My brother is staying in police quarters at Andheri Police Station compound, Andheri (East). They are not getting water since last so many days. In last week they were getting dirty water which was not drinkable. So they made complaint in police station. Now also they are receiving the same water. But since the water tank for that police residence building and jail is same, we are not getting that dirty water also which can be used atleast for lattrine and urinal purpose. They fear that some body will drink that water or prisoners will drink that water and then other problems will create. For 2 days, they ordered tanker. Last tanker was ordered on 5th March. On 6 and 7th March again they did not get water. BMC officials had come they checked they found that there is leakage near police station, where the metro work is in progress. Because of metro work, the leakage problems are arised so many times in our area. Now we do not understand what is to be done. We will have to go to work without bath. There is no water to drink. For sanitary purpose. We are really fed up with this. And add to it, they are living in police quarters in Police station and they are also in police service. Similarly, because of metro work, garbage van also do not come there. Because of which the garbage is lying near police quarter/andheri police station for 1-2 months. After 2-3 month, garbage van comes and pick the garbage. Last garbage van had come on 25th January. Because of metro, they are not getting place to bring truck near the garbage and then they have to use the police station gate to carry the garbage. If this is the problem police men are facing. How the problems of other people will be resolved.
