Respected Sir,
We are all proud Navi Mumbaikars and we try to establish that pride with all the basic facilities we all enjoy without hue and cry. But, wait a bit, there is a certain "CHICKLEY VILLAGE " in Panvel wich is in the list of forgoten identities and does not enjoy all the benefits of the Satelite City label like: Water, Electricity, Transportation and a decent Market.
What is most surprising is that so far nothing has gone un-noticed fro CIDCO'S "Shiv Eyes" and they too are proud of their adage "WE BUILD CITIES" then what about this small village called "CHICKLEY in Panvel". Has CIDCO'S forgoten about it and its development, on one hand even the Central Railway's Harbour Line has laid a new set of tracks for the "KARJAT TO CST" Local Trains to be run passing through "CHICKLEY". But that also seems like the new Air Port Dream" of when will it begin, then how come CIDCO'S has forgoten to develop such a node with Good Solid two way roads, Street Lights all along this village road from Chickley Phata (Junction) till the end of this village. That's not all CIDCO'S has even forgoten to make necessary arrangements for "TRANSPORTATION" which is a prime requirement as most of those living here either use their own vehicals or the rich mans transport the "AUTORICKSHAW" which charges Rs.10/- (TEN) for each passenger to the maximum of five passengers at one stretch. One thing which is most surprising and hated out of common man's frustration are these "AUTORICKSHAW" all over PANVEL / NEW PANVEL area and their charges are sky rocketing and sometimes do make sense, but out of no other mode of transportation one has to oblige it all and pay through their nose waiting for a new "MINI BUS SERVICE" to begin and end up all this unnecessary outside expense.
Can one sit back and say about CIDCO'S that they "BUILD CITIES" when one such village of "CHICKLEY" is not even enjoying basic aminities for all its residence and worst still till date not event the MSEBDCL Authorities have thought of visiting this village and find out for themselves that this village does not have "Street Lights" at all. And can you imagine walking this uneven road not done up for ages to walk upon in the dark. Even the vehicles has a serious problem driving on them especially the two and three wheelers then what about the common man with his two legs not risk pot holed filld roads accidents. All this does not make sense to CIDCO'S and the MSEBDCL Authorities who are not at all concerned about development of this node, what they are only bothered is the International Airport which seems a distant dream. Can these major gaints of development put their hands and feet to move a stone further and develop this beautiful village of "CHICKLEY" lets hope and pray they do it and win aclodes from one qand all and may praises be showered on them for developing this node and many such nodes left undone till date.
