DELAY IN SENDING OF PASSPORT VERIFIVCATION

I have applied for Passport at Passport Office Jammu (Application No A-006363 dated 15 Jun) But Since one month has passed CID office Jammu is unable to send my verification to Akhnoor for the verification. It is a matter of preaty shame that a letter is reached from Jammu to Kanyakumari within SIX days but it takes more than one month to reach a letter from Jammu to Akhnoor, the diatance ie mere 30 kms only.
