Unauthorised construction on Water Tank
Complaint Against
The Chairman,

The Society have constructed a water tank at the entrance of the society in 1998 (Picture attached), The reason given to us at that time was Rain Water Harvesting Project. Its been 14 yrs that this tank is not been cleaned, maintained or serviced.
The interesting part is that after 14 yrs the society have decided to use the water tank so the society authorities have decided to construct a shed on top of the water tank (picture attached) which estimates Rs 1, 00, 000.
What is the Problem?
1) The service charge per month is increased from Rs 150 to 300 per month because the society does not have funds
2) The water tank does not allow any vehicle to come in the premises in case of Medical emergency, or accident.
Eg: A unfortunate suicide attempt where a female with 80% burns had to walk till the gate because the Mini Ambulance (omni) could not enter in the premises causing death.
3) The Tank also is a breading center for Mosquitoes as there is still water inside it
4) The Water tank can not carry weight and trembles when you walk over it.what if it collides and become a cause death or injury to an individual.
5) The Secretary have clearly announced in public that he gets a commission of Rs 20, 000 from this Shed contract.
6) The other members from the society thinks its a waste of money but don't want to object because our Chairman Mr Dhomaji Kolte belongs to a big political party and has good connections with ministers.
7) I have requested the Society authorites in writing to please stop the work and discuss the issue but they have refused with no reason
8) The Water Tank has a Hole on the right side and its a Home for snakes and monitor Lizards who enter our house at times.
9) The Chairman has passed Rs 7000 from every house for Painting and infrastructure in the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
ie Rs 7000 X 44 Flats = Rs 3, 08, 000
Interesting Facts
1) The Chairman and Secretary have no idea about the Co Operative housings society rules.
2) The society was formed on 1995 but member have not been issues the share certificates.
3) The Chairman has not been changed since 1995 IE almost 17yrs
4) There is no watchman for the society since 1995
Movement of Truth
When we approach any Government official (Municipal corporation, Health department, Cidco) with a request letter the keep it for their records but no action taken against it. The last that i could do today is approach the Police but they clearly say that
"We take care that Law and order is maintained in Public we are not responsible for HARRESMENT BY THE SOCIETY"
