I had lodged complaint in Jan 07 for faulty meter reading since the period of Oct 06 onwards. DHBVN had inspected the same and verified that meter was faulty as it was working even when no Load was put. Therefore new meter was installed in Apr 07 after payment of 1750 rs. However even the new meter stopped working in July 07 which was promptly informed in July itself to DHBVN.DHBVN assured us to change the same immediately but finally changed the same only in Apr 08. All along this period i was asked to pay 600 units as average which was much more than the actual units consumed after new meter was installed. It was only after numerous follow ups that the dept adjusted the excessive amount paid by me. But to my rude shock in the month of Nov 09 i am being charged 25965 as arrears. DHBVN has taken the base period of Oct 06-feb 07 (which was already accepted & certified by them as faulty period) to calculate the bill for the month of July 07-Mar 08. All efforts to explain the authorities have fallen on deaf year. This is harassement of consumers for no fault of theirs.
