I had applied for passport at tatkal scheme, after a long 2 months period ie on 27/10 i had got the date. I had come over there with the proofs ie., SSLC certificate, pan card with IT returns, bank passbook, bank certificate in letterhead of the concerned bank duly sighned by the manager with seal, and license. The officer or the checking person i dont no who he is, he checked and he wanted any one proof From A and I or verification certificate, and when i asked him within which period I can come with the same. He replied me within 1 (one) weeks time you can apply and he did not inform me that 31/10 was the last date. As i had address correction in my ration card ie, From A to I in which he wanted, i got it corrected and went today as per his instruction oraly. Today when i went there he cooly said me that the tatkal scheme is stopped. I was shocked. Then i asked the security that i wanted to meet the RPO for my satisfaction. There also the treatment was not good, When i raised my voice he told me to go to the enquiry counter. I was not allowed to meet the RPO. Is that no normal public can meet the RPO? Then i was in the queue and approached the enquiry counter, and i asked the person that i wanted to meet the RPO, the person in the enquiry counter replied ' ennamma neenga kekamatengiringa', immediately next counter enquiry called, (the same person who attended my tatkal application attended) and asked me what, i replied him with my voice raised that you only told 1 weeks time, and showed him in his handwriting, immediately he asked me to get out and shouted that is this market. Do you think who with this much pressure will request humbly. This is the way a lady in India is treated in an Central govt. office were public has the right to ask questions is treated, I came out with tears. What action are you going to take in this regard. This should not to be faced by anymore public. Are all the public aware of all the passport procedures, it is passport office duty to guide the procedures, because passport office works to issue passport, and not to treat the public as dogs. This can be taken that they are not interested to work for issue of passports.
