I have submitted my passport for ECNR on 16-Feb. This process usually takes 1 day. Earlier they used to return it by hand on the next day. But when I submitted they told they will send it by post.
I am daily checking the online status and it is "Police verification not received yet" from last 1.5 months. I have inquired my area police and even main police and found the officer who usually comes for police inquiry (no other south indian state does police inquiry for ECNR check, even in AP there was no police inquiry for ECNR check). The officer said he didn't get any such request to inquire.
My father went to the passport office and asked in the inquiry section. They told him to write a letter and specify details but in vain. Its been 2 weeks from now but still my status is the same :(
I have sent mail twice to the Public Grievances Officer, Passport Office, Hyderabad. But there is not reply or progress.
I am really worried about my passport now. Please suggest a way to get my passport back.
