Dear Sir, I applied for Postal ID on 16th Nov at Tambaram Head Post Office, Chennai. Verification part has since been completed by the Postal Officials. However the ID card till date has not been recfeived. The purpose of applying for Postal ID card is to have it as the basic document for applying for other facilities requiring ID and Address Proof. Therefore the delay in receipt correpondigly leads to delays in getting other works completed. It was told that the issue of card will be completed within 20 to 30 days. please arrange to get the card issued to me at any early date to avoid further delay in getting other pending works which are overdue. Postal ID card will prove to be a boom to all in general and to those who are goind on frequent transfers in particular. Will the Dept do the necessary action in this regard amd advise me through my e-mail address.
