Sub: Really sad of Karnataka SRTC service
Iam a regular customer of Karnataka RTC. I usually book my ticket through the nearest local agent always, but some times through Internet site of KSRTC.in because of convenience.
I booked a ticket from Bangalore to Ernakulam on 02/07 and return ticket on 04/07 through Internet facility KSRTC.in (ID: jinokurian).
Ticket Details:
Bangalore to Ernakulam
Date – 02/07
Time – 8:13pm
Start point – Electronic City Depot
Class of Service – Airavat (Volvo)

Trip Code - 1929BNGEKM
I reached Electronic city Depot by 8:00pm and shown my ticket print out in the counter. Counter person (a lady) told me that, this particular bus is late for 45 minuts and because of late coming driver may not stop for dinner.
I went for dinner first floor of Electronic city depot (Hotel Pallavi) and came back by 8:35pm and seated on the side of Counter (on Concrete bunch).
I waited till 9:15pm. In between one Kottayam Airavat bus and one Rajahamsa is stopped for passengers and passed.
But no Ernakulam Airavat Volvo has come to the bus stop. I went and ask to the counter about the bus, he answered that he doesn’t know because my ticket is not booked from this counter.
One another person from counter came and told me this bus is already passed by 9:00pm, but it is not come to the bus stop.
I called helpline number 080-22870099, 080-22873377 which is mentioned in ticket. But no one picks the call.
The argument happens between me and Electronic city counter person. He told me that, “this ticket is not booked from this counter. So you can do whatever you want”.
I wouldn’t know what to do? I was totally upset and gone to kerala by local bus. But I reached Ernakulam by 1:00pm 03/07. I missed my urgent and important function in Ernakulam by 9:00am.
My argument was “This bus is not come to the Electronic city depot bus stop. If the bus comes, they should call on mobile phone number which is provided while booking the ticket. Internet booking is costing more by service charges and infrastructure fee”. But rejection and no acceptance is with any bus stop counter.
One more passenger was waiting for same bus on this bus stop. He cancelled his trip due to this incident.
I strongly feel, this type of operation is ridiculous and cannot acceptable. This incident causes wastage of my money, time and mental agony.
Now, we corporate friends are thinking about alternative bus transport for better service.
