After proper verification online at http://rpolucknow.up.nic.in and https://passport.gov.in/ I decided that I can submit application for passport through the speed post collection centre Jhansi U.P. I had applied for the same with this method and I had ensured that I fill my application for reissue of passport correctly in all aspects with all required documents and requisite fee in the form of DD.My application no is 336538 and it was dispatched on 28th June and received at RPO Lucknow on 1st July.
To my surprise my application got rejected and returned back to me on 16th Aug after 45 days stating the reason that they don't accept application for passport through speed post collection center.
By this time my passport got expired on 15th July. This is absolutely wrong on the part of the RPO Lucknow and other govt officials to publish wrong information on govt website meant for the guidance of the public.
Regarding this I had called the grivance cell at

He was unavailable and somebody Mr. Ajay responded that he is not sure about when this method of applying for passport has been withdrawn and asked me to submit application with proof.
It sounds very irresponsible and ridiculous that these govt officials do not even have the basic know hows and information to clarify any questions and also take no responsibility of publishing wrong information on their official websites.
Worst management and illegal practises are being conducted under their nose on profit sharing basis.
