Complaint for refusal to accept Register A.D

M.M. Kadam

Advocate

Chamber No.6, Dossa Mansion, 2nd floor, Sir. P.M. Road, Fort, Mumbai 400 001.

Date: 27th March.

To,

The Post Master,

Bazar Gate Post Office,

Mumbai.

Sub :- Complaint for refusal to accept Register A.D. posting.

Sir,

This is to bring to your notice that my clerk Mr. Umesh had been to your post office today for posting notices through Register A.D. & UPC to two different parties i.e. Shri Laxmi Corporations & Ganga Electricals.

The notice pertaining to Shri Laxmi Corporations was also address to its two partners. The notice pertaining to Ganga Electricals was also address to its proprietor. Therefore 5 registered A.D. were to be posted. At around 11.50 a.m. today when my clerk Mr. Umesh reached your office, there was a queue for posting Register A.D. and about 9 persons were standing in queue. When the persons standing in a queue before him had completed there work my clerk Mr. Umesh handed over the duly stamped five envelope for Register A.D. to the concern lady clerk who was taking up the Register A.D. packets for posting. To his surprise your concerned lady clerk refused to accept Register A.D. packets giving reasons that she would only accept 2 Register A.D. packets at a time as per rule and thereafter she told my clerk Mr. Umesh to again stand in a queue for posting 2 more Register A.D. packets and one more time to post the remaining last packet. Hence, Mr. Umesh posting only 2 Register A.D. packets (bearing no.1463 and 1464) & for the remaining 3 packets he rushed to GPO and posted the registered A.D. packets (bearing no.3064, 3065 and 3066).

The proof of notices having been posted by my clerk are required to be filled in court. Since, the matter pertains to cheque bouncing case. The court will ask me as to why the notices are posted through two different post offices.

Therefore I kindly request you to clarify the above position at the earliest, so that I can inform the said fact to the hon’ble court.

Yours faithfully,

M.M. Kadam
