I had applied for passport extenstion on 18/07. However as of today I have not yet received my passport or any communication from the authority regarding status of the passport.
My passport details is as below
Name: Elton Christopher Dsilva
File No - E028948
Location - Mumbai
The trails of events are as follows
- 30th Jul - Police representative from Bhandup police station does the require verification at my residence
- 31st Jul - I visited Bhandup police and duly submitted all the required documentation proofs
- 22nd Aug - The file is transferred to the CID office (After visiting to Bhandup police station 5 times)
- For more than a month until today file in CID office.
On calling 1090 they have suggested that file is in the CID office and nothing needs to be done from my side. I have called up Passport helpline and they have suggested that they have not yet received police clearance
Is there anyway I can track the status of the file in CID? I have written to grievances cell, but no response
Could you please assist?
