this is vijay bhura, my bhabhi suman bhura, having five year recurring account at post office, kokrajhar that was matured and got the cheque of 182225/- dt 28-10 of state bank of India, but unfortunately that cheque was misplaced and as soon as we came to know that, we wrote the complain to the post master, kokrajhar with F.I.R copy af the same dt 24-11 that cheque of suman bhura is misplaced, so hereby requested to pls take necessary step to stop the payment of the cheque and to issue the new duplicate cheque of the same, post maste wrote the letter to state bank of India about this matter and to stop the payment, but when we approach to the bank, bank manager told that we can't stop the payment of this cheque as this cheque is not been issued from this bank, all we can do is we can gave u the non payment certificate, that this cheque is not been made payment till date, and when we went to post master with this certificate, post master said i have no idea about this and i will ask to higher authorities and wrote to director of account, guwahati and gave the copy of the same and when we didn't get any reply from post master, we went to director of account, guwahati with the copy of the letter, and ask to director sir about this, sir told that we have nothing to do with this and no idea about this told to consult to supertent post office, dhubri and when we approach to supertent sir, he also didn't gave us the satisfied answer that how to stop the payment this cheque and what is the further process so as we got the duplicate cheque.
sir from last two month i am totally fed-up with the post office going again and again and no response from the officers, so this is request to u to take some action regarding this matter so that we got the duplicate cheque of suman bhura.
