Dear Mr. Ramesh/Hon. President/Hon. Committe Memebers,

Thanks for Hon. Secretary’s mail. I can see the pressure building on MC for taking up the true responsibility all through your brief mail. I request you to read my mail properly to avoid repeated replies on the same point. If you have replied my mail after properly understanding my communications, then I am wondering why you are appreciating me taking up the project which I have not only agreed but also objected because of my inability and my bad experiences with MC so far. Appreciate your planning for an intelligent way to corner me. May be you have better explanations which I do not know. I request you to look at your strategy sincerely because my failure will come out actually to be your failure itself. All MC and all ordinary members are here to help each other, not to destroy each other. I have seen so many congratulatory mails from people who put a lot of faith on MC and I expected that it will help MC get encouraged and do things right. But unfortunately MC was not going in that direction. I have already mentioned in my previous mails that I am at this point is not capable to take up any such jobs. It is your responsibility to entrust the job to somebody who is capable & willing to do it. Finally it is the MC who is responsible in front of all the members. Ordinary Members have the right to question MC even after completion of projects to avoid Future issues. This should form as the guide factor for all future projects in Gowri. President is individually liable to reply to any member. But he can ask any MC member to reply on his behalf. So it is important for President/ MC to select an integrated person who is capable, reasonably knowledgeable, experienced, willing to discuss problems with the MC. MC is finally responsible to it’s members who are the owners/residents of this complex. Nothing I have mentioned are un-known to any one of you because you are all well informed educated people with good knowledge.

However, I can be of help to you by giving my thoughts that I think might help you if you are willing to listen. The intention is to make you bring the best out from you to give it to Gowri. All of you are good organizers and capable of handling issues if you truly wanted. A simple remark will change the whole direction of a process to it’s best ending. But most people are afraid to comment. I am also reluctant to tell, but I am trying to defeat my fear. Remember I am not here to complicate, but to compliment. I expect the same from you also.

I have observed that a budgeting is done for Fire Water Project for Rs.2, 50, 000/-. So you have already made some scope of work. Please put-up the scope of FW works in our Web page. Pls let us know what MC intend to do?

To make you understand what I mean by para-2, pls read the following. Most of you will remember when the OLD MC decided to make a parallel canal to the existing canal on the West side of our property to connect it to main external canal north side. This was necessary as the original internal west canal was suspected to be blocked partially. After seeing the digging work I told the concerned people to do the digging starting from the down-stream side towards up-stream side. This is because if the rain comes (that was summer season without rains for many weeks), it will fill up the entire excavated new drain canal with debris from all up-hill side coming out from the up-stream SW corner. I repeated my remark at least several times to concerned people. Finally I realised that they found another better solution. They made a deflector masonry work to save the new canal from any debris being directed to the new canal. After seeing this, I felt truly pity at the MC because they were not ready to accept my comment; instead they are doing something to show better possibilities just for challenging me at the cost of the residents. Remember we are here not for challenging each other, but that was true signal from the MC that they do not listen to me and will always do what-ever they want only. Just they wanted to defeat me individually and stop me from any future remarks. MC truly taught me lessons if I make a remark or objection against their way of thinking or planning if I make a direct talk to MC member/s. MC was not realizing that my intention was to save them, not to destroy them. Then the digging operation went on very well from the SW corner towards the C block. Suddenly situation changed. The C Block people realized this job only after the canal entered their backyard area without their permission. The President/Secretary of C block came to A/B block MC and I heard that the troubled heat-up almost reached man-handing situation with our MC members. So the work was halted & MC did not know what to do. So the area was left as it was. After a few days a heavy rain came and all the debris including human excreta and all animal excreta of the last several weeks lying all over the uphill area filled all our apt ground area. The masonry deflector most effectively sent all the debris direct to the A/ B Block backyard without sending any portion of it through the original canal suspected to be blocked partially. No clean-up started for 2 days. It took more than a week to clean up after that. Residents at ground level and first/second floor will never forget those nasty days and how they survived that extremely dirty smell & excreta paste on the surface for more than 10 days or even more. All this could have been avoided if they looked at my remark positively. If we started digging from the d/s point behind C block, immediately C block people would have involved (not anticipated C block objections). The debris from the drains would not have come to the surface without opening at the SW corner which further aided by the deflector (Anticipated). Finally MC filled back the new half built canal they excavated by breaking open the asphalted road and destroying it too. Estimates were Rs.- X 64 = Rs.1, 28, 000/- I do not know how much money Gowri members lost in that process? There was no repent, regret, worry about loss of efforts & money or any will not to repeat similar situations. There was no apology statement from MC. Without a sincere apology there will not be any intend to correct a mistake. That was what was worrying me most. We are all human beings. We do mistakes. We may not always agree openly. At least you should agree from within yourself. Even that has not happened which was evident from the events followed. So similar situations were only getting repeated. I will be wrong if I tell everything from MC was wrong everywhere. There are few things that MC deserves praise also. This is an example of how a remark could have changed a process that can transform the outcome for best/worst.
