Effulent water from Riga sugar Company limited is pulluting the river 'MANUSMARA'. Because of the wastewater having smell it is really terrible for the villegers for staying on the bank of this river from the point of effuent delivery in the river till next 10-15 Km. Quantity of the effuent is so much for the small seasonal river that, the chemical (probably hazardous) enriched effuent has already kidd all the flora and fauna of this river.
Famers using this river water is saying there is decline in crop production since this effluent has started to come in this river. People cannot take their livestock for bathing and water drinking the river. Since the river is carrying derelict water from the said industry, the population of mosqueto has increased enormously.
This I have written only about the water pullution. Air pollution and solid waste pollution is yet to be written.
I am very pesimistic on this issue as I know, (this problem is persisting more than decade and nothing has been done by the pollution control agencies or any other competent government agencies) nothing is going to happen after this also.
